Once out from Ouan Kassa, in central Sahara, we drive over a desolate flat of black stones, before reaching the majestic erg of Murzuk, made of pink, orange and yellow sand dunes.
We leave Ouan Kassa, bound for Murzuk sand dunes.
At the foot of this huge dune, there are stratified sands of different colors. By digging a little, the different colors come out.
Suddenly, the landscape changes into a very desolate flat of black stones, extending far away.
The sand dunes of Murzuk comes finally into sight. These dunes have sands of different colors, from pink to orange, to yellow.
Towards the opposite direction there is a flat of orange sand, extending to the horizon and often ending into mirages.
The 4x4s penetrate into Murzuk sand dunes.
Shapes on the sands, made by the constantly blowing winds.
I climb a 150 meters tall dune, to get a panoramic view.
