Moscow day tour
19/01/2007 - 22/01/2007
Sightseeing tour in Moscow under an intense snowfall, visiting the downtown area including Red Square, St. Basil cathedral, Kremlin and the church of Christ the Savior. I get around Moscow using mainly the very efficient subway metro, having also very beautiful train stations.
I start the city tour from the Kremlin walls, towards Red Square. It is not easy to take pictures under this snowfall, but I'm happy to visit the city under a more typical winter atmosphere.

I take a short hike between the streets around Red Square...
... where there is also a huge mall on three floors.
I continue walking in the beautiful gardens outside the Kremlin in Moscow.
I then enter the territory of Kremlin from this access gate.

Moscow has a very efficient metro subway system, with 11 lines, beautiful stations and trains every 2 minutes, even on holidays. The ticket for one ride costs 0.5 Euro.
