Review of Thudufushi Island Resort, Maldives
In this trip review, you will find information and photos of Thudufushi island resort, how it was in year 2004, before the refurbishment that took place around 2010, with the renovation of beach bungalows and the constructions of over water villas (therefore, the photos of Thudufushi resort in this travelogue do not illustrate the current situation)
In the above picture, a map of the island, with the resort's structures.

.Is it best an overwater villa or a beach bungalow?
In our opinion, choosing a beach bungalow (for any holiday you do around the world) helps to preserve the envirnoment, since, with less demand, there is some hope that no more over water bungalows will be built. These structures, not only ruin the pristine landscape, but will also increase the capacity in places where you will want to stay away from the crowd. Also, the overwater bungalows are usually connected to the island by wooden bridges that will overheat during the day, making impossible to spend your entire vacation with bare feet (having instead some soft sand as you go out from your beach bungalow, is a totally different story).
The island is totally covered by fine white sand, thence it is possible to spend the entire vacation with naked feet (as long as you don't book over water villas --- the the note above).
The vegetation in Thudufushi is very nice and very well maintaned.

Now, a collections of wildlife that you can find on Thudufushi island, is included. In this picture, a flying fox (a very big bat).
On the island there are many nice reptiles like this.
